An MP3 Tribute to Oscar Nominees

With the recent announcement of the Academy Award nominations, we thought we’d take a look at songs that could have been written in tribute to some of this year’s nominees. They weren’t of course, but if they had, most of them would have better selections than the bulk of this year’s original song nominees. Just how the Academy failed to nominate Springsteen’s song from “The Wrestler” is beyond us. Sure, Dylan and Eminem have taken home Oscars, but so have Phil Collins and Three 6 Mafia. And just for the record, The Boss did previously win an Oscar. He took him a statue for the theme to 1993’s “Philadelphia.”
