Paste Magazine is pulling a Radiohead. For a limited time, the pop culture magazine is offering a one-year subscription for whatever price you feel like paying. Pretty cool, eh? Subscribers who offer up the most dough will be featured in an upcoming issue, each of which comes with a sampler CD.
You don’t know it yet, but you love The Playing Favorites, a new band featuring Joey Cape from Lagwagon and Marko DeSantis from Sugarcult. The band recorded their debut album in 5 days and features multiple songwriters and multiple vocalists, some of whom have done time in bands like The Rentals and Summercamp. Check out the two MP3s the band has made available and look for “I Remember When I Was Pretty” via Suburban Home.
